Staff reported that they had really enjoyed the course; they found it informative, made clearer our reasons behind how we were redesigning the curriculum and also offered really good helpful teaching and learning tips. The content was delivered in an engaging, meaningful way which modelled the strategies that were drawn out from the science. It was a great introduction for our trainees but also challenged our thinking as experienced practitioners. Very helpful advice on how to proceed in lessons, with sequencing and what to look for as a Subject Leader. Chris supported all of his ideas with evidence from scientific studies, which really adds weight to them. We had a superb day. My staff loved it.
The most useful parts of the day were the clarity of presentation on Curriculum Design that digested the evidence-based criteria and modelled delivery to staff, and a sense of humour from Chris who has wide experience and can connect difficult ideas to staff.

There have been lots of conversations about identifying clear concept thresholds and ensuring that the curriculum doesn’t cover lots of different ideas in minimal detail.
