Creative Themes

Are you developing Creative Themes for learning?

What makes a good Creative theme?  I have put together a checklist of 3 things to look for

Does the theme tell us WHAT will be covered?

Does this include what we WANT to teach as well as what we HAVE to teach?

Does the theme tell us HOW the content will be covered?

Is it clear how the theme will unfold? 

Does the planning tell us WHY we are covering the content?

Do we know which skills children will learn?

Do we know which basic skills children will apply, which personal skills they will develop and which subject skills they will develop?
